Hey Mr.Kelln! Here is my post.
Life as a grade 6 student can be hard and easy at the same time. The teachers here are awesome and you get treated older and with more respect. But the hard part is friends, some times you don’t know what is going on with them and what not. Towards the end of the year you learn who your real friends are, who you can trust, and the school work can be pretty hard some times but the teachers make sure we are on task and give us help when we need it. You can eat outside or in and you can just hang out in the halls, play sports in the gym, finish un complete assingments in the computer room and class rooms, play computer games or just hang out. But the worst part is detention, detention can be really harsh, no talking well every body know that but when you abuse your privaleges you abuse them. You have plenty of time to finish your assignments, doublle check your assignments. You always have somebody to talk to here. Like your friends, teachers and the youth conselor, which really helps me when I am in a big problem with friends. Summers coming which means most people drop what they are doing and just don’t really care any more, everyone knows it so I try to stay on task and finish my work as soon as possible with checking that I made no errors. I have a tip for all grade 6 student and other students, keep a home work page so you know when everything is finished my friend and I usually make one for the class so no homework is missed. You want to be trusted here, and you want to know you can be trusted and you can trust yourself. The worst was to lose all your trust here is to get a bad reputation, it is not the best thing to do, so some students and teachers know who to trust. For me it started getting to the point when a teacher started following the bad group but that was after my best friend and I left the group. So that is prettu much life at Fairview, you should just focus on your school work, friends, and just having fun! It worked for me.
